About Trogir
Trogir is a town located in the center of Dalmatia, only 27 km away from Split, on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is known as one of the most cultural towns on the Dalmatian coast because of its Romanesque and Venetian palaces, churches and monasteries rising from its antique square. It is connected to the mainland by a stone bridge and to island Čiovo by a mobile bridge.
It is known as a medieval town that conserved its urban fabric to an exceptional degree and had minimum of modern interventions. Social and cultural development is visible on every aspect of the townscape.
Because of the variety of its monuments, churches and monasteries, Trogir is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Besides the interesting architectural and historical sites, Trogir offers a very warm climate, green surroundings, and lots of good restaurants, cafes and bars.
